The first ever Nitro Circus Live tour has now come to an end after visiting five of Australia’s capital cities with 11 shows involving 34 cast members and 89 crew members. Over 120,000 fans came to see the shows making it the most popular live action sports show to ever tour Australia.
Every performer pulled out all stops in the final shows and the crowds at Rod Laver Arena certainly showed their appreciation.
Some highlights included:
- Travis Pastrana performedhis second double backflip in his life during Saturday's show after being challenged by Cam Sinclair
- Chad Kagy busted out a huge superman seatgrab across the stadium – taking off from the kicker on the Gigant-a-ramp and landing on the FMX lander a gap of 65ft. He then followed it up on the Sunday night with a backflip across the set and was incredibly close to a clean landing only washing out on the transition.
- Andy Buckworth landed the world’s first quad tail whip off the Gigant-a-Ramp in the Friday night show.
- Jim De Champ and Cam McCaul attempted to backflip the tandem cycle off the Gigant-a-ramp after Travis suggested it would be a good idea. It didn’t go quite according to plan, but it was a very brave attempt and the crowd loved it
- Andrew Broussard, better known as ‘Scootz’ went for a double back flip on his scooter off the Gigant-a-ramp
- Aaron ‘Wheelz’ Fotheringham got incredibly close to landing a double back flip on his wheelchair off the Giganta on every night
- Dusty Wygle stomped his superman back flip on the big wheel and got very close to landing the TP roll on a BMX off the Giganta
- Jake Brown pulled off back flip after back flip off the Giganta on his skateboard
- Cam Sinclair landed three more perfect double flips in front of his home crowd, friends and family
- Bilko showed why he was the best in the world by performing the biggest tricks in FMX with a torn ACL Ligament for his home crowd
- Jolene had three more successful attempts at her FMX back flip
And there were many more….
Thank you to all of the Australian fans who came out and cheered as loud as they possibly could at all of the NCL shows. We thank you for making it all possible and look forward to seeing you all again very soon!!!
